Effective for: the YurUp mobile application on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

This Privacy Policy explains how YurUp (“YurUp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you download, access, or use the YurUp app and related services (including household invite and support pages). YurUp is operated in connection with GovCom Solutions (govcomsolutions.com).

By using YurUp, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our Terms of Use separately govern your use of the service.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to users of the YurUp mobile app and related online services we operate for YurUp. It does not apply to third-party websites, apps, or services that we do not control.

Age requirement. You must be at least 16 years old to create a YurUp account. We collect date of birth during signup (and during profile completion for some social sign-in users) to enforce this requirement. YurUp is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Profile Information

If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name and email (including a private relay email) on first sign-in. Google Sign-In may share your Google account name and email. Those practices are also governed by Apple’s and Google’s policies.

2.2 Household and User-Generated Content

Content you and your household create is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) so YurUp can sync across devices. This may include:

Content you add in a shared household is visible to other members of that household according to the app’s features and permissions.

2.3 Device, Permissions, and Technical Data

Depending on features you use, YurUp may request:

2.4 Subscription and Payment Information

2.5 Support Communications

If you email us (for example at advaith@govcomsolutions.com or from Subscription Hub / paywall support flows), we receive the information you choose to send — such as your email address, household name, and message content — so we can respond.

2.6 Information We Do Not Collect

Based on the current app, we do not collect precise GPS/location data, device contacts, advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking, government ID numbers, or full payment card numbers. We do not sell personal information. Product analytics and crash-reporting SDKs are not wired in current production paths. Giphy is configured in the project but is not used in the current client runtime. YurUp does not currently use Plaid or Stripe in the production app.

3. AI Processing (Tidy and Receipt Scanning)

YurUp includes an AI assistant (“Tidy”) and receipt scanning that may send data to Groq (api.groq.com), a third-party AI provider, to generate responses or parse receipts.

Depending on how you use these features, data sent to Groq may include:

We do not intentionally include passwords, FCM tokens, or dates of birth in the Tidy household snapshot sent to Groq. Groq processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. Do not submit sensitive information in prompts unless you accept that processing.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

5. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate YurUp:

We do not sell personal information and do not share it with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at advaith@govcomsolutions.com.

When you delete your account:

Some data may not be fully removed by today’s deletion flow, including newer chat-thread messages, polls, Order Squads, chore logs, penalties, household invites, Tidy conversation history and reports, member streaks, notification inbox items, per-user quota records, and certain shared household content. Store billing records remain with Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat.

Deleting your YurUp account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel billing in your device’s store settings.

8. Your Choices and Rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California (and similar jurisdictions), additional rights may apply — such as the right to know, delete, port data, or object to certain processing. We do not sell personal information. We will honor applicable requests consistent with our legal obligations. California residents will not be discriminated against for exercising CCPA/CPRA rights.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures through Firebase and HTTPS to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Use a strong password, keep your device secure, and enable MFA if available for your account.

10. International Transfers

Our service providers (including Google/Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple/Google, and Groq) may process data in the United States and other countries. By using YurUp, you understand your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data-protection laws.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Where required, we may provide additional notice. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
